Hybrid : This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-4 x per year.

Our EAI team is responsible for providing Middleware platforms and outstanding products & services on top of those platforms that our customers use to integrate GM systems with one another and also with external systems. The software developer will support Azure ETL primarily passionate about the vertical transformation initiatives, responsibilities include:
Understanding and applying database modeling and data structure principles, techniques, and standard methodologies.
Application and understanding of architecture and design patterns, programming practices, development standards and QA/testing processes.
Working on different projects simultaneously that are of high complexity in either technical or in business functionality.
Mitigation of risks and issues for the assigned projects.
Collaboration with multi-functional teams including architects, software engineers, developers and technical leads, and business customers to ensure timely delivery of project
Cultivate close working relationships will be required with multiple internal and external teams/groups to meet the objectives/goals.
Ensures alignment to GM's system delivery process guidelines, change management processes, and all other Information Technology Standards/Roadmaps, Guidelines, Big Rules, etc.
Communicate project status, progress on work, and risks/issues to partners and leadership in a timely manner and relentlessly drives issues/risks to closure
4+ years of professional software development experience
Experience with Azure and ETL is a must
Strong problem solver with ability to evaluate a challenge and understand solution patterns
Experience with optimization and performance tuning
Have proven success in software project delivery experience in leading technical efforts developing applications using a variety of tools, languages, frameworks and technologies
Proven Understanding of maintaining and debugging live software systems.
Experience with Cloud platforms: Azure, Kubernetes, Docker and containers
Crafting and delivering Azure API's and associated data platform solution
Strong, in-depth and demonstrable hands-on experience with a large number of the following technologies:
Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Bricks
Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools
