Technical Program Manager, Platform Verification - SDV


Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.

We are looking for someone to join our team in influencing the transformation of future transportation with ADAS and Automated Driving! The Automated Driving Compute System Platform Verification team is passionate about definition, design, analysis, and approval of groundbreaking silicon [System on Chip (SoC) and Machine Learning Accelerator (MLA)].

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Technical Program Manager(TPM) to be responsible for leading the Compute platform integration and verification for SDV. It involves aligning the scope of work, creating the roadmap and plan, setting the timeline, estimating the resources, and defining the verification strategy, coordination of platform safety quality assurance activities for various program achievements. This role encourages and provides the opportunity for you to take initiative, be creative and flexible in thought process, work across global diverse teams, and provide technical leadership. It requires high levels of initiative, independent judgment, and indirect leadership capability. The TPM leads the resolution of platform design, build, integration and test issues.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Build, lead, and drive comprehensive integration and verification activities.
  • Work with engineering leaders and product/program management to ensure that platform integration and verification execution meets schedule and quality requirements.
  • Lead verification strategy and design with understanding of Compute Platform architecture.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and partnering with TPMs, Managers, Architects and Technical Leads to drive project success.
  • Define and architect the integration pipeline and verification environment.
  • Improve the safe and effective usage of platform by ensuring that requirements are translated into systems and processes.
  • Develop insights into platform performance to lead to proactive actions and feedback, looking for opportunities to automate manual processes where possible.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience in software development, integration, verification, or testing
  • Understanding of Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Subsystem/Features in ADAS domain, Power Management, Memory Management OR Safety architecture & design
  • Experience with programming languages (C/C++ or Java), Automation Scripting languages (Python) and operating systems (Unix, Linux or RTOS for embedded system)
  • Experience leading a project or team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR and Classic AUTOSAR
  • Knowledge of Active Safety, Automated Driving, Software Defined Vehicle Software based Systems
  • Experience in integration and verification of Safety Critical Systems (ISO 26262)
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Bitbucket)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
