Tool & Die Group Leader – Machining & CNC Technologies


o    Support production operations and team members, systems & tools to enable the organization to own the process and achieve team / plant metrics in a GMS operating environment.
o    High level of oral and written communication skills.
o    Organize, plan and execute maintenance and process projects including system upgrades and new installations.
o    Oversee continuous improvement issues addressing quality, cost, throughput issues.
o    Technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) advising and leading continuous improvement and future strategies in CNC processes. 
o    Ability to practice and implement Global Manufacturing System principles.
o    Maintain, troubleshoot and perform maintenance tasks on equipment.
o    Support Total Production Maintenance process implementing all technical training requirements to ensure technical proficiency of the workforce.
o    Ability to train in CNC equipment and cutter path generation
o    Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed and adhered to.
o    Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
o    Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements

Additional Description

Requirement skills:

o    Experience with tool & die machining and construction processes and equipment (3 or more years of experience)
o    Experience in machining and CNC technologies (3 or more years of experience)
o    Experience in CNC cutter path generation and Tebis software (3 or more years of experience)
o    An associate degree (or higher) or Tool & Die Journeyperson status
o    Ability to work multiple shifts and weekend overtime
o    Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance principles
o    Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
o    Ability to multitask and work with others in a highly flexible and demanding environment.
