Ultifi DevQA Engineers - SDV

Software Defined Vehicle (SDV)  group supports the definition, design, and development of continuously improving mobility services. SDV is a new vehicle intelligence platform that will underpin all our future innovations across a wide range of technological advancements, including EVs and expanded automated driving. As a DevQA Engineer in Ultifi,  you'll be part of a dynamic agile team to test and continuously deliver simulation and emulation capabilities. You will use your experience with open-source and commercial tools along with the ability to “write code to break code” and provide innovative test solutions.  You will be part of the Ultifi team that will design tests, execute, and automate for mobile, web and in-vehicle products/apps. You will have proficiency working in a DevOps, Continuous Testing, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery framework for the release of in-vehicle, mobile, web and other products/apps.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans, define test procedures and execute them in Android infotainment system with minimal direction of lead engineers.
  • Analyze defects, determine root cause, report them to the development team, test and verify closure.
  • Performs design analysis on changes.
  • Work with teams from multiple groups to meet project milestones
  • Develop automated testing in python to improve effectiveness of current test process.
  • The DevQA Engineer must be a quick learner, must be able to work efficiently and effectively, to identify defect and risk that should be addressed during development test and for release readiness.

Required Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related
  • 2+ years' experience in Automotive SW Test or Development, including experience with test automation and test or software architecture
  • Understanding of Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Subsystem/Features in the Infotainment domain
  • Understanding of Android Infotainment Operating Systems
  • Experience with LIN/CAN vehicle communication system and CAN based monitoring tools.


Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Advanced engineering degree in Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience testing infotainment software
  • Experience in automotive diagnostic
  • Previous test experience with real-time or embedded applications
  • Good operating system knowledge of Android and QNX
