Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite about 3 times per week.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a XiL Software Engineer to aid in the development of our simulation toolchain for use in our Motorsports program. You will help develop the tools used in operation of Real-Time hardware simulators. Assist in the development of software and hardware solutions for the DiL toolchain. Possess extensive knowledge of developing full stack software solutions. Must include the use of software standard methodologies. Deliver all projects to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
What you will do:
Play a key role in development of XiL hardware and software
Work closely with simulation engineers to develop and build solutions for XiL initiatives
Bring new technologies and standards to in house simulation software.
To succeed in this challenging role, we are looking for a graduate profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject area
5 years of highly proven experience gained within an engineering organization
Knowledge of using Dymola/Modelica in a simulation toolchain
Highly analytical, client-oriented, and structured, with excellent relationship and communicative skills
Knowledge of automotive/motorsports hardware systems
Experience with full stack programming from UI to backend system integration
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, ever changing environment, bringing a strong work ethic and integrity
5 years of software development in automotive/Motorsport area
Experience with Concurrent or dSpace Hardware Real-Time Systems
Strong technical skills with physical hardware systems
Excellent written and verbal skills
