As part of the Cloud Center of Excellence team, the Cloud Architect and Multi-Cloud Program Delivery Manager Manager will have the opportunity to implement the architecture and design of GM’s multi-cloud solutions across a spectrum of native CSP technologies supporting global transformation, migration and modernization across GM’s technology ecosystem.

  • An excellent, technical understanding of cloud architecture, supporting cloud network design, and associated solutions.
  • The ability to work across GM teams to ensure all solutions meet industry leading standards and guidelines.
  • Be an evangelist for modern cloud architecture strategy & patterns within GM. 
  • Influencing and defining strategic goals for the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) and program alignment across the Strategic Cloud Acceleration Office (SCAO). 
  • Responsible for synthesizing functional & nonfunctional requirements, security requirements, data classifications, understanding of implementation feasibility and able to ask relevant questions to clarify needs while leading the implementation of applicable cloud architecture solutions.
  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of assigned project/initiative execution from Plan through Implementation, working across IT teams and organizations.
  • Responsible for IT strategy & portfolio liaison with PMO, aligning domain organization with PMO standards.
  • Make recommendation on CCOE, SCAO product roadmaps.
  • Leads the culture within team, holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors.
  • Models GM behaviors and creates a winning culture.

Additional Description

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, logic, computer science, related disciplines, or 10 years experience in IT, cloud architecture and/or technology project management and delivery  
  • Hands on Cloud Service Provider experience.
  • 10 years experience leading IT solution delivery teams, projects and programs
  • Experience delivering within PMO guidance and standards.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices
  • Knowledge of Programming patterns.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in in mathematics, logic, computer science, related disciplines, or 12 years experience in IT, cloud architecture and/or technology project management and delivery 
  • CSP certifications
  • 12 years experience leading IT solution delivery teams, projects and programs
  • Experience delivering within PMO guidance and standards.

Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is : $112,100- $175,400 . Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus/Equity Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
