Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: The position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility, or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

Be part of our fast-paced, agile team that builds data recording software in the Automated Driving and Active Safety (ADAS) domain! You will partner with teams to develop, implement, test, and debug ADAS software systems. You will also work with a diverse team of developers and engineers to create software that empowers automated solutions like Super Cruise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop libraries and data recording solutions in Java, Rust, or C/C++

  • Develop Python scripts for SW testing (e.g. for unit and bench testing)

  • Analyze test data (simulated, or vehicle) and provide insights to various partners (e.g. engineering development, field service, and/or safety engineers)

  • Collaborate with team members through Scrum/Agile

  • Investigate & support continuous improvement activities

  • Participate in day-to-day engineering activities to gain an understanding of the vehicle development process

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's (3rd or 4th year but will consider qualified 2nd year students with applicable project experience) or Master's degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Sciences, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Data Analytics

  • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week in Canada, and for 12 -month term starting January 2024

  • Experience with app development on Android with Java/C/C++

  • Experience with Python (working level knowledge)

  • Basic electrical and control systems knowledge

  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills

  • Highly adaptable with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
