Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: The position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility, or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

This opportunity allows the student to gain exposure to DevOps side of software development. Depending on your aptitude and proficiency, as well as business needs at the time, you may work in one or more of the following domains:

Software configuration management, build, integration, and release

Software quality assurance and test automation framework

Emulation and virtualization
-
Collaborative lifecycle management tools development, administration, and reporting

IT infrastructure design and administration
-
Hands-on test bench electronics and test vehicle lab work
Additional Description
Required Qualifications:
-
Pursuit of a Bachelor's (3rd or 4th year students preferred but will consider qualified 2nd year students) or Master's degree in one of the following areas: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering

Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week in Canada, and for 8 or 12-month term (2-3 consecutive semesters) starting January 2024
Some exposure to one or more of the following is beneficial but not vital:

Linux/Ubuntu development environment

Android apps development and Google Play release

Git/Gerrit, GitHub, Jenkins, Python, Docker, and Azure DevOps

Test automation framework and scripting

Android emulators, VMs, and cloud technologies
