On - Site:  This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.

The Role:

As a Controls Engineer you will be responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of plant equipment. This work requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedures and is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). This role will require overtime and off-shift work.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Configure, program, test and troubleshoot PLC based control systems and associated components

  • Electrical troubleshooting and testing of controls systems, control panels, and associated equipment

  • Diagnose and correct deficiencies in manufacturing processes and equipment

  • Develop innovative solutions

  • Support and actively interact with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality groups

  • Continuously improve quality, cost, responsiveness & safety

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a controls engineer

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to work OT and off-shift as needed

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

  • 5+ years of experience as a controls engineer

  • Experience with PLC, HMI, and Allen Bradley
