Work Arrangement

This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Advanced Technical Center in Shanghai, China five times per week.

The Role -

Lead cross functional team to investigate potential safety issue including ADAS cases for GM China imported vehicles  to comply with China  regulation,  and validation lead for type approval testing in the authorized lab.

What You’ll Do -

  • Worked as key member for ELT(Emergency Leading Team) and Lead AACN (Automated Autonomous Crash Notification) for GM China imported vehicles in China for China.
  • Continuously provide ADAS feedback for all root cause and corrective action activity associate with GM China imported vehicle. Engage in Problem Solving, lead and monitor and track the inspection activity with other functions team including Legal/Quality/Communication/Aftersales.
  • Follow global SFI process for safety investigation including ADAS investigation, leading SFI process to ensure GM China safety compliance.
  • Engage in Global safety and SFI review activity for GM China ADAS team, to investigate and finalize the SFI process for with help from GM Legal.  
  • Visit the authorized lab to execute the type approval tests including but not limited to front/rear/side collision tests, brake tests, pass by noise tests etc…
  • Work closely with GM China type approval project manager with regards to all the tests reports and final submitted vehicle parameters including MID(Model Information Data).
  • Validation lead will be responsible for trouble shooting during the type approval testing.
  • Candidates who have validation experience for emission test and battery tests will be preferred.
  • Leverage 3rd party resources to fix the testing issues for new vehicle type approval testing and seek for the help from GMNA team as needed.
  • To monitor customer complaints and coordinate product potential inspection and feedback to leadership team and China government.
  • To develop and implement continuous improvement process to ensure customer satisfaction and product compliance for GM China.
  • To plan and coordinate all SFI and recall process with external (Authorities / Customer) and internal (aftersales/ Marketing / Brand quality ), and thereby maintain the Satisfactory.
  • To monitor global recall bulletin and announcement weekly to ensure China customer satisfaction and answering the Authority nonscheduled inquiry for the vehicle affected or not affected by global recall.
  • To establish and deploy recall process in China according to global guideline and government requirements and follow up on short & long term continuous improvement plans.
  • Submit the recall paperwork to DPAC with GM China Communication team and Ensure f2f communication with high-quality and on time feedback to Authority(DPAC)
  • Build trustful relationship with Authorities for CCC certification to ensure product compliance seamlessly.
  • To develop/optimize the recall process/RASIC and ensure the team follow approved guidelines, procedures, processes, tools in a consistent way to achieve all the recall objectives & targets for the period.
  • Recommend & implement continuous improvements in the quality systems and engineering system, Leading the recall data management to ensure the requirement of ILM(Information Lifecycle Management), and upload recall documents to database timely.
  • 19. Provide timely communication and updates to Operation Directors/managers and other senior management for urgent recall cases(ADAS case to submit the report in 48 hours).

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) ​​  

  • Bachelor’s degree or above is required, Software/Automobile engineering/Battery engineering is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both in Chinese and English
  • More than 3 years’ experiences in validation /quality team
  • Preferred 3 years’ experiences of ADAS
  • Knowledge & experience in Six Sigma, Red X, FMEA is an advantage
  • Able to communicate effectively to cross-functional team including engineering/quality etc...
  • Good project management and problem solving skills
  • Able to influence without authority and work in a matrix / cross culture environment
