Work Arrangement - Onsite

The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis.

This role requires up to 50% domestic and international travel.

  • WHY : The purpose of this role is to inspire customer confidence and satisfaction in every vehicle by assuring software levels on Electrical Control Units (ECUs) are updated to meet on time deliveries for our customers with correct electrical functionality.

  • WHAT : As the EGM for Loose Piece Reflash Development & Execution, you will lead loose piece electrical module reflash activities at General Motors sites and offsite locations.

  • HOW : Tirelessly supporting the plants to make it happen for our customers.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Lead a team of highly technical salary employees and manage 3rd party resources to perform ECU software updates and develop new innovations to support these activities.

  • Manage and prioritize the support coverage schedule for all ongoing and future projects.

  • Continue to drive process improvements to increase throughput and quality in all reflash and repair activities.

  • Support all GM manufacturing sites on achieving and exceeding their Electrical First Time Quality targets.

  • Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.

  • Support all module-level reflash activities prior to vehicle installation.

  • Improve production processes for reflash activities.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 8+ years of experience with software development

  • Vehicle Manufacturing Knowledge

  • Understanding of plant operations and functions

  • Salaried leadership experience and proven ability to lead and manage a team of technical professionals

  • Demonstrated experience or examples of driving innovation in previous roles

  • Ability to meticulously document processes and track progress effectively

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • End of Line (EOL) test strategy knowledge

  • General knowledge of quality processes
