GM International (GMI)—one of General Motors’ five regions—covers nearly 100 countries and territories across Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. With more than half of the world’s population, our region accounts for approximately a quarter of vehicle sales and plays a critical role in the execution of our growth strategy.
We opened our headquarters in Singapore at OUE Bayfront in August 2014. Singapore’s central location is enabling our employees to effectively reach out to GMI’s country markets and share our groundbreaking mobility initiatives. GMI is also benefiting from Singapore’s vibrant business environment as well as its world-class infrastructure and strong base of human resources.
Our staff covers a range of functions, including Sales and Marketing, Product Planning, Finance, Government Relations, Human Resources, IT, Legal and Communications. In addition, our office is the home of the local branch of GM Overseas Distribution Corp. (ODC) and a GM IT global “maintain” hub.
