General Motors sometimes has multiple facilities in a relatively small geographic region. If you are interested in working at a facility that is within close proximity to other General Motors facilities, your application will be valid for ALL facilities within that region. You will not be able to apply to just one facility within that region. Please visit Locations to learn more.
Applications are accepted based on General Motors’ hiring needs. If you do not see the position or facility/region to which you’d like to apply, it means we are not currently accepting applications for that position or facility/region. Feel free to check back often, as the site will be updated as hiring needs change.
As a reminder, some facilities are included as part of a larger geographic region (e.g. the Grand Rapids Components plant is included within the Greater Lansing Region). Check out our Locations to see if you are able to apply to the specific facility in which you’re interested, or if it is included within a larger region.
Although rare, technical issues do sometimes occur. If you feel like technical problems impacted your ability to complete the assessment, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note: At this point in the process we are will not be able to provide answers to any questions regarding your application. We will only be able to assist you with the assessment.

As a temporary employee there are no provisions to allow transfers between plants. If you are unable to continue your assignment at the facility you hired into, it is recommended that you notify the local management and voluntarily resign your position. Once you have resigned, you will be considered a former employee in good standing and you can reapply at a later date for re-employment. However, you are not given any preference over other applicants.
Seniority employees wishing to transfer to another location must follow the process for transfer that is covered under the provisions of Appendix A of the GM-UAW National Agreement. If you have further questions you can call 313-324-5000 and ask for Employee Placement.
