The Role:
In this Staff DevOps Engineer role, you will develop key elements of the infrastructure for BrightDrop's new electrified fleet. We are an innovation first team, and we need your help to ensure we meet the highest standards. What you get to do in this Role:

Collaborate with Product Managers and developers to design and deploy robust and scalable cloud infrastructure

Collect, refine and prioritize needs from the engineering teams

Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines

Secure and monitor our infrastructure from cyber threats

Build, maintain and improve current backend services infrastructure

Explore new technologies and enrich our technological stack

Actively participate in technical discussions and deep dives with Architectural group
Additional Description
-
7+ years of hands-on DevOps experience with at least one of the public cloud providers - Azure, AWS, GCP
-
Strong CS fundamentals, including OO concepts, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems

Experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python or Groovy

Skills working with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Chef or Ansible

Experience with CI/CD automation frameworks - Jenkins/Bamboo/Azure DevOps
-
Strong understanding of network security (TLS, SAML, PKI, VPN, Firewalls)

Experience with monitoring and log aggregation frameworks such as Logstash, Splunk, DataDog, ElasticSearch, and Kibana.

Deep understanding of Git and source control management tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub

Experience with IoT stack is a big plus

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering preferred

Compensation:
The expected base compensation for this role is: ($179,960 - $265,810 USD Annual). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
