  • Development, validation, implementation, documentation and monitoring of automotive industry forecast models (econometric models and time series) for short and long-term for different market levels:
    • Total industry
    • Fleet
    • Luxury
    • ANPACT
    • Electric industry
  • Historical analysis of industry and GM sales to determine monthly seasonal factors
  • Calculation of daily rates based on historical data of wholesale and retail by channel to set by-day sales objectives
  • Monitoring of national & global news and economic dynamics to provide insight of their potential impact to automotive industry
  • Economic factors database maintenance
  • Central America and Caribbean annual and monthly industry forecast development and update
  • Support with monthly sales reporting to GMNA
  • Analysis and reporting of historical inventory levels for volume drivers
  • Support quarterly and on demand top executives’ presentations

Additional Description

  • Statistical modeling, macroeconomic dynamics, time series forecasting, measures of model accuracy and goodness of fit, demand models, data summarization (grouping and visualization)
  • Econometric software (E-views)
  • Experience programming in R, Phyton and SQL (desirable)
  • Knowledge in big data, desirable
  • Microsoft Office (Visual Basic, Data Tools, Power Bi or Tableau desirable)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Corporate/unit policies and procedures
  • Mathematical and statistical skills, quantitative reasoning, data analysis, economics and business environment awareness, information summarization and storytelling
  • Proficient level in English (Fluid conversation)
  • Well-developed oral and written communications skills
