The Opportunity
We are looking for multiple experienced Industrial Mechanic/ Industrial Millwrights to join our St. Catharine’s Propulsion Plant (Anyone with mechanical Red Seal certifications will be considered)
Key Responsibilities
-
Safely operate, install, replace, and repair machines, cranes, power tools, hoists, and hand tools

Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Ensure quality with CNC machines by diagnosing issues and performing offsets based on Process Drawings and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports.

Troubleshoot robotic welding cells, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, valves, conveyors, electrical systems, gear boxes and pump

Ability to fabricate parts and assemblies from blueprints or scratch

Work as a team with Manufacturing/Engineering teams to continually update the production process

Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Additional Description
Who We Are Looking For:
-
High School education with a valid Industrial Mechanic Red Seal License
-
Basic Computer Skills
-
Able to understand CNC programs and make machine offsets
-
2-3 Years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Automotive environment
-
Welding experience and Heavy Equipment license an asset – Broderson
-
Dual Ticket a definite asset
-
Ability to work flexible shift hours (rotating or midnights)

Ability to work scheduled overtime as required
-

Compensation: Starting at a full rate of $44.81/hr

Plus you will earn an afternoon shift premium of 5%, a night shift premium of 10%, paid overtime and an annual bonus in accordance with the collective agreement
