The Role:

Entry level sculptor (Clay or Digital) working under general mentorship of senior sculptors and leads, to develop aesthetic surfaces for models across a wide range of programs throughout the global vehicle development process as part of a team and individually. Responsible for performing basic assessments of surface quality (Clay or Digital) and supporting studio personnel in the development of solutions to engineering and design challenges. Works closely with representatives from engineering and creative design to deliver surface releases that meet all critical design, engineering and release criteria.

Job Description:

Creates Clay or Digital models by developing aesthetic surfaces which meet challenging time and quality requirements as directed by Sculpting Leadership for assigned programs throughout the GVDP. Work in a group situation, collaborating with Design and Engineering partners and encouraging studio personnel. Follow established modeling best practices and procedures while contributing to the execution of property plans.

Additional Description

Qualifications :

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in one of the following areas (or related fields):

  • Fine Arts

  • Sculpture

  • Ceramics

  • Industrial Design

  • Transportation Design

Must graduate before or by September 2023.
