CIEs (Control / Controls Integration Engineer) are responsible for supporting critical program events, testing individual releases, leading issue resolution in VeSCoM testing, releasing packages, and determining root cause of vehicle level controls issues. They play a key role in software integration to ensure the functionality and performance of software packages and hardware for initial demonstration events, as well as leading triage and root cause analysis for software defects. The CIE also documents issues, documents releases notes, identifies performance impacts, and collaborates with owners on resolutions.

What You'll Do  

  • Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders to develop and verify ADAS/AD HMI development concepts, demo, and rapid prototype designs.  

  • Execute the ADAS/AD feature HMI integration work across different hardware and software platforms, including different ZONE on display, as telltale, warning message, pilot display, HUD, chime, and interior light etc. 

  • Develop and utilize the simulation bench to support specific traffic test scenario generation and ensure expected interactions between ADAS/AD domain controller and IHU/IVI(VCU) with Module-in-the-loop and simulation.  

  • Provide support for released test suites, including detailed documentation, and assist users with testing and troubleshooting. 

  • Support new HMI function concept development for local projects and vehicle retrofit working with cross-functional team. 

  • Provide support to architecture team on ADAS/AD HMI feature in terms of diagnostics and logging capabilities and OTA. 

  • Integrate multiple interfaces across different platforms including QNX and Android. 

  • Define checklists for ADAS/AD feature integration tests and create the corresponding status visualization reporting platform for program execution. 

  • Escalate issues quickly when roadblocks or execution issues are identified. 

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)  

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.  

  • 5-7 years of experience in HMI or infotainment development and integration area. 

  • Programing ability of some or all: Linux, Python, C, C#, C++, JavaScript. 

  • Understanding of Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Subsystem/Features in HMI subsystem. 

  • Proven experience with HMI or infotainment bench functional integration and validation test execution.  

  • Advanced knowledge with vehicle communication protocols LIN, CAN/CANFD, Ethernet, SOME/IP, LVDS etc.  

  • Experience with ADAS/AD SW integration and validation.  

  • Experience with vehicle diagnostic.  

  • Understanding of Embedded Operating Systems such as Android, Linux and QNX. 

  • Advanced experience with Intrepid Vehicle Spy or Vector CANoe tools for vehicle data collection and simulation.  

  • High level of problem-solving ability where problems are unusual and difficult. Able to identify problems, analyze varying causes of action to determine, recommend and negotiate optimal solutions and execute contingency plans. 

  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others. 

  • High level of oral and written communication skills. 

  • Project and Time Management: Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a commitment to the tasks at hand. 

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)  

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science. 

  • Working knowledge of the agile Software Development Process. 

  • Experience on ADAS/AD HMI requirements engineering.  

  • Experience on ADAS/AD HMI software development.
