Analyze data in a timely manner with sound analytic methods. Present fidings to internal clients and address follow up issues. Support the development of new strategies and plans that align with particular portfolio plan. Interface and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including leading strategy, research and planning sessions. Identify technology gaps based on industry trends, competitive strategies and market needs. Strategy manager to support, drive and implement the various strategic initiatives at GM China and JVs

Job Description

Strategy Execution and Implementation

  • Manage own work against a project plan to ensure superior deliverables
  • Interact with and / or lead cross-functional teams of internal and external constituents to develop and drive strategic initiative
  • Manage post-transaction partner relationships to ensure proper execution of and accountability for committed deliverables
  • Support transaction and partnership execution through application of strategic, financial, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Build and contribute domain thought leadership for use by GM organization
  • Select appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing data, and develop informed recommendations that shape or support the business strategy
  • Address business challenges in the intersection of process and technology
  • Apply a global and diverse perspective to problem solving
  • Incorporate financial information when evaluating strategic options
  • Understand how business functions operate and how sector trends impact business
  • Produce a high-quality work product and collaborate with others to deliver superior deliverables

Industry fact-base

  • Understand the automotive business, follow sector trends and learn leading practices
  • Recognize technology as a business enabler
  • Research industry and value chain dynamics and landscapes
  • Develop and share reusable assets that can be readily applied to new projects

Analysis

  • Diagnose a problem, conduct analysis, and develop solutions for business problems
  • Gather and interpret financial information to help strengthen proposed recommendations
  • Evaluate new business opportunities
  • Lead business case development for M&A or partnership opportunity, which involves identifying and interfacing with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders

  • Organize insights and define a logical flow to tell a story when presenting recommendations
