About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented App Delivery (uOTA) Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development, execution, and optimization of a cutting-edge App Delivery (uOTA) platform. This platform enables seamless updates to Android-based infotainment systems, delivering continuous improvements to platform APKs and enhancing the customer experience. As part of a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the App Delivery (uOTA) channel while learning from and contributing to an innovative automotive ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- App Delivery Operations:
- Support the end-to-end App Delivery (uOTA) process, ensuring timely and quality updates.
- Monitor and troubleshoot app deployment pipelines to address and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve delivery workflows and ensure compliance with standards.
- Technical Support and Collaboration:
- Work with development teams to validate APK readiness for App Delivery (uOTA).
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on delivery schedules, milestones, and requirements.
- Assist in decoupling platform APK updates from firmware updates, enabling faster release cycles.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for efficiency in app delivery processes and contribute to implementing improvements.
- Maintain documentation for workflows, tools, and best practices to support team knowledge-sharing.
- Customer Experience Focus:
- Ensure that App Delivery (uOTA) updates enhance end-user experiences and meet quality standards.
- Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to refine processes and identify new opportunities.

Required Qualifications:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite at the GM Global Technical Center - Cole Engineering Center Tower, at least three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.

- Associates degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software development, app delivery, or related fields.
- Proven experience with app update and software delivery, Android development, or connected vehicle systems.
- Strong understanding of app deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes, and software quality assurance practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- experience in collecting logs, analyzing android apps integration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with App Delivery (uOTA) processes, connected vehicle technologies, or Android Automotive OS.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or advanced degree.
- Basic scripting or programming knowledge to automate and streamline workflows.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington
- Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is : $75,000 - $119,000 . Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
