Work Arrangement

This role requires an employee to be onsite on a full time basis.


The Role :

This position has responsibility to ensure that GM and SGM successfully market and grow the Cadillac brand in China as well as growing profitable volume and market share in the rapidly advancing (and maturing) Chinese automotive market. Local China market knowledge is required.

What You’ll Do :

  • Help develop and implement a Cadillac marketing and sales business plan that helps drive sales while shepherding our brands.
  • Leverage GM global resources and align with global positioning standards to help build and protect our brands.
  • Increase market share and help build and implement sales objectives.
  • Execute flawless marketing launches and campaigns.
  • Achieve financial targets and maximize profitability for SGM and Dealers.
  • Support product development by being the voice of the Chinese vehicle customer as well as Cadillac Dealerships.
  • Help measure brand performance as well as curate target customer groups.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Exemplary market knowledge and judgment regarding vehicle & technology features, customer expectations, and product tradeoffs.
  • Excellent product and strategic marketing knowledge with experience in brand building.
  • Familiar with vehicle development process.
  • Hands on operational experience with marketing and sales management.
  • Luxury brand experience and an understanding of the future of lux in China.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)​:

  • Relationship building, partnering and earning trust is an absolute necessity for success with our partner inside SGM.
  • Dealing with ambiguity; This role has a leadership responsibility to SGM, not GM or GM China and must lead through influence without direct authority throughout all three organizations.
  • High degree of organizational and strategic agility to build and lead effective teams inside SGM and GM.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in both operational and strategic areas.
  • Managerial courage and influence skills
  • Skilled negotiator with ability to relate current context and past precedent as impact on future decisions.
  • Proven ability to understand complex business issues and to be able to make good judgment when faced with trade-offs
  • Patience and perseverance especially when dealing with a challenging joint venture operational environment in the most competitive auto market in the world.
