Remote: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Warren, Pontiac, or Mountain View, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role:
As a member of GM's Human Resources Group and Global Mobility you will be responsible for U.S. Relocation & U.S. Immigration Program management, consultations with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders, as well as, managing end-to-end service delivery, including vendor management.
What You'll Do:
Policy Development & Maintenance
- U.S. Immigration and U.S. Relocation Policy review, development, updates, and implementation per cadence and as needed.
- Conduct, participate in and review benchmarks from industry surveys, market analysis, and peer organizations to ensure competitiveness in attracting and retaining top talent.
- Utilize benchmarks, research and analysis to develop and lead policy proposals through identification of best practices and/or trends that align with business objectives.
- Engage with internal & external stakeholders to understand business needs, industry trends, and compliance.
- Lead and/or participate in other key projects in support of global strategic initiatives and process improvements.
Service Delivery / HR Consultation / Vendor Management / Escalations & Exceptions
- Provide U.S. Immigration and U.S. Relocation subject matter expertise, consultations and trainings to Field HR and business leaders on respective Global Mobility programs, Policies, and processes to support current or future decision making.
- Day-to-day relationship management with external vendors to ensure service delivery meets expectations.
- Manage employee exceptions and escalations in coordination with U.S. Immigration and U.S. Relocation vendors that balances an equitable Policy with employee and business needs.
- Management of complex/unique employee cases in coordination with employee, Field HR, vendors, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Be an employee experience ambassador fostering a positive end-to-end employee experience by regularly seeking feedback from all stakeholders.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline
- 7+ years of work experience in Global Mobility, international HR or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. Employment based Immigration (non-Immigrant & Immigrant) regulations, processes, and compliance requirements
- Policy project management and problem-solving skills to support programs such all Global Mobility programs including immigration, compensation, and taxes
- Can deal with the ambiguous issues and complexities of a large multinational company
- Able to analyze issues or processes and develop robust recommendations or project outcomes
- Experience in managing third-party vendors with ability to build and maintain effective relationships, ensure compliance and service delivery.

- Experience as an HR Business Partner or background working directly with HRBPs

Compensation:
- The salary range for this role is $85,100 - $135,900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
