Position summary

Job Summary


The Financial IT Analyst reports to the financial assurance technology and data manager supporting the global management and testing of IT internal controls over financial reporting and provides expertise in IT control design and auditing. The Analyst also provides data analytic and process analytic testing expertise to support the management of internal controls over financial reporting and the global SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance program and supports the deployment and operation of the global risk and compliance tool


Job Description 

  • Support the Financial Assurance center of excellence and business with management of IT internal controls over financial reporting including development and monitoring of such controls and training of control owners
  • Coordinate and execute the SOX compliance program for IT internal controls over financial reporting
  • Assist with performing SOX compliance program scoping, planning, and training
  • Test or coordinate testing of IT controls working collaboratively with the business owners and the IT function
  • Research issues and collaborate with the business on appropriate control remediation activities
  • Provide metrics for internal control compliance and other areas, as needed
  • Interpret and analyze potential accounting risks and issues and facilitate reporting
  • Monitor compliance with company accounting and technology policies and control frameworks
  • Support Regional SOX quality management programs, including performance of quality assurance reviews over tested controls
  • Prepare, analyze, evaluate, and document internal controls testing assessments and results
  • Work closely with the external auditors
  • Support the regions in managing changes which impact internal controls over financial reporting, re-engineering and streamlining processes and controls
  • Support the management and administration of the existing GRC tool
  • Lead configuration, deployment, training and administer the new GRC tool, Open Pages, working collaboratively with other risk management partners
  • Development and utilization of data process/control analytical testing tools and methodologies
  • Complete special assignments, as required
  • Travel 15 to 20%

Qualifications


Basic Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or business information systems or data analytics or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of financial or IT auditing experience
  • Working knowledge of business processes and internal controls including global business manufacturing IT operating systems, applications and environments
  • Experience in SOX compliance programs including developing or monitoring business and IT internal controls over financial reporting
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision on unstructured assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and ability to resolve issues under tight timeframes
  • Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnerships and ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Working knowledge of COSO, the PCAOB and SEC
  • Results orientation and proactive work style
  • Embrace and manage change

Basic Preferred:
  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant or equivalent
  • CIA - Certified Internal Auditor and/or CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor
  • MBA or Masters of Science degree in business field
