At CEI, we don’t design thetransportation. We design the transportation experience. CEI employees developthe technology enabling a new generation of connected vehicles. About the Role:

Responsible and accountable for solutionarchitecture of an assigned component or components, conformance to approved GMIT standards, and alignment with the future state enterprise and domainarchitectural goals. This includes both hands-on development of IT technologysolution architectures as well as management of various architecturalinitiatives.

  • Able to look across the assigneddomain to ensure consistent alignment of technical solutions with the businessgoals and objectives of the supported unit.
  • Provides industry leading technicaldirection and guidance to various project teams to ensure appropriate and costeffective application of GM approved technologies.
  • Ensures appropriate and effectivedata integration across multiple applications. This is a technical leadershiplevel architect position.
  • Expected to have multi-disciplineexpertise and capabilities required of an IT architect and a strong practicallybased working knowledge of various architectural patterns, technologies andarchitecture management processes.
  • Capable of working with withoutdirect supervision to develop multi-layered solution architectures thatcomprehend and specify business, application, data and infrastructure designs.
  • Contributes to the definition of GMIT technology direction, standards and roadmaps across one or more business ortechnical domains.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree inInformation Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • At least 12 years of experiencedeveloping and architecting distributed, component-based, service-orientedsolutions for an enterprise
  • Experience with SOA and Web Servicestacks, standards, products and technologies.
  • Experienced in followingindustry-proven software engineering practices such as SEI CMMI and agilemethods
  • Experience developing and deliveringhighly available and complex systems
  • Experience with commercial andopen-source web server, application server platforms and enterprise middleware,including MOM, TP Monitors, system management and security systems
  • Experience with Object-OrientedAnalysis and Design (OOAD)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with one or more of thefollowing skill sets:  Salesforce.comdeveloper toolkit including Apex Classes, Controllers and Triggers Visualforce,Force.com IDE, Migration Tool, and Web Services
  • Experience working on an enterpriselevel big data solution preferably with Mem SQL, SAP HANA, or IBM BigInsights
  • Worked extensively on Kafka tosuccessfully deploy a scalable solution
  • Working experience with PEGA RulesEngine
