Roles
  • Responsible to teach standardized work to members and coach members to achieve plants results
  • Responsible for the development and standardization of critical GMS project initiatives focused on sharing best implementation practices for clear and concise achievement of results
  • Communicate processes with staff and plants as required
  • Establish local facility plan with Plant Staff, monitors achievement and develop course correction and support where necessary
  
Responsibilities
  • Define systemic issues that require lean strategies and techniques of GMS to achieve business plan 
  • Develop project plans that will move an organization from current condition to future state based on a critical roadmap and key milestones
  • Train leaders within a facility on techniques to identify strengths and weakness of organization
  • Document implementation plans and share results with others from start to finish
  • Monitor progress of GMS implementation status within defined locations and coach the organization to achieve improvements through defined implementation plans
  • Seek and implement best practices on specific initiatives that ensure a Continuous Improvement approach
  • Establish key common characteristics of successful launches in the area of product, process and people and establish baseline standards to be used moving forward
  • Work with NA MFG Support organization  as may be needed to ensure Standardized Work completion and Operational Readiness

Qualifications - Basic Skills Required
  • Deep manufacturing experience utilizing Global Manufacturing Systems and Practices to achieve results
  • 5- 10  years of experience in a manufacturing facility, interdisciplinary preferred
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual, complex, and difficult to resolve
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others,
  • College degree with a bachelors in engineering or equivalent training
Qualifications - Preferred Skills
  • Ability to identify key lean tools and techniques that can be implemented to change both behaviors and business metrics
  • In depth knowledge of standardized work
  • Understanding of Quality standards
  • Capable of training any of the GMS principles and the supporting elements at multiple levels of the organization
