GM is currently seeking a software developer in Austin, Texas or Warren, Michigan to support internal application development projects. This developer will develop client-only .NET applications that are used globally by Engineering, Manufacturing and suppliers. These tools will plug into GM’s corporate CAD system and automate engineering and manufacturing design tasks. The developer will collaborate with the business and other development teams through all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, including business requirements, design and testing, using latest methodologies and tools. A qualified individual will have a well-rounded set of skills in .NET programming, IT architecture and software development. Having strong creativity, results driven, and leadership behaviors are imperative to success in this role.

Experience writing client-only (thick) tools with WinForm dialogs,
Experience with VB .NET or C# .NET languages,
Experience with C/C++ languages,
Experience writing automation software in a CAD or PLM environment,
Experience using Siemens NX,
Experience writing software tools that use the NX/Open API, NX journals or Knowledge Fusion,
Engineering degree or engineering experience.
