Position summary

Scope:
  • Single Point of Contact and Building Owner for all Global Facilities issues
  • Development and administration of Service Contracts
  • Monitor Service Provider’s performance in delivering excellent services for tenants per Service Agreement
  • Responsible for multiple sites and business units, requiring significant travel
 
Responsibilities:
  • As a single point of contact for the building tenants, (multiple sites & business units) you will be responsible for daily interface and coordination of all Global Facilities activities for their respective building(s) and/or business unit to ensure high quality and timely delivery of  building maintenance and housekeeping services
  • Lead the start-up of new locations, including developing the  scope and contract(s) for all facility needs which will require interface with safety, environmental, security, IT, local city/governmental, etc
  • Maintain open communication between the tenant and Global Facilities by leading tenant interface meetings
  • Drives strategic and analytical planning to optimize building and facility services guided by industry benchmark standards including but not limited to: space utilization (move service center, furniture/ergonomics), energy efficiency, Service Agreement deliverables, and On-Demand activities.
  • Responsible to ensure the Service Provider is delivering efficient and timely execution of all facility services in the areas of Maintenance, Housekeeping, Roads & Grounds services, as well as diving continuous improvements and sharing lessons learned
  • Drives successful planning and execution of all Global Facilities-Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles and elements within their portfolio.
  • Responsible for supporting the workspace transformation projects by actively partnering with Global Facilities Space Planning team in the change management process for group moves including but not limited to: move process checklist, stakeholder orientation, and occupancy surveys. 
  • Ensuring escalation and resolution of daily tenant needs and longer term projects by pulling in the required resources such as Facility Engineering, Resource Management, Communications, Real Estate, Food and Administration Services
  • Responsible to ensure the Service Provider is complying with GM Global Safety standards, including but not limited to: Speak up for Safety, Global Call to Action, Safety Observation Tours, employee safety concerns, incident investigation, safety module compliance, and sentinel events.
  • Travel is required

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Engineering, Facilities Maintenance/Management or equivalent training/experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in facility/building systems and/or property management processes
  • Working knowledge in business application software (Microsoft office, Outlook Calendar)and other related electronic tools
  • Preferred BOMI or IFMA or other applicable professional certifications
