Position summary

This Senior Financial Systems role is being created in support of the Global Facilities Repository implementation and Department to Cost Center mapping project. This is a high visibility role that will span across all regions and global functions due to the facilities that house all GM resources. The Senior Financial Systems analyst will maintain the integrity of diverse data sets from gold source data systems across the globe.  This person will be the key point of contact for the Regional Global Facilities around the globe regarding actual occupancy expense, 4 wall reporting, and facility utilization. This person will ensure and validate the data is uploaded and processed in a timely manner. The Senior Financial System analyst role will create an efficient and streamlined process to the area of Facility spend by centralizing and automating the current manual efforts the business performs. This role will enable the data to be evaluated for quality assurance and allow any issues to be resolved before the business has to report on the monthly operating results. This role will also support the CPR project (Close consolidation, Planning and Reporting) for the implementation of the next generation planning applications (Manufacturing, Engineering, CCA, VSSM, Corp G&A, and GCCX).
Requires experience in working with global functional and technical teams, in both Finance and IT groups.  Experience in business function and technical requirements gathering is necessary.  Execution of tasks and communications on tight timelines with regular status reporting will be required.   Should have demonstrated ability to clearly communicate to both functional and technical audiences, and to work effectively with multiple teams to solve problems.  Has comfort in exercising a high level of independent judgment, decision-making, accuracy, creativity and initiative in maintaining global facility reporting.
Basic Responsibilities of the Role
  • Business Owner and Admin for Global Facilities Repository (Cognos/Teradata/Hyperion)
  • Project Management – Business design (Business Requirements, CDE definitions, Dimensions, hierarchy structure, source identification)
  • Partner with IT -  Build test, and deployment
  • Validate and verify uploaded results (Regions & Countries)
  • Raise production tickets and work with EDW Ops to solve sourcing issues
  • Provide Ad hoc Analytics – Monthly reports to the business (Scheduled and On Demand)
  • Builds & operationalizes operational processes to ensure timely data loading, maintain relevance & accuracy of data
  • Supports & executes change management activities around testing, and training
  • Works within & across work streams to understand business, functional and data requirements
  • Identifies, communicates, and works to resolve data gaps that impact fulfillment of business and functional requirements
  • Data Custodian for CPR key data elements (GEARS Accounts, Cost Center, Sub function, Expense Category)
 
 
Basic Skills and Competencies Required
  • Prior experience in System and Data Analysis (Reconciliation, Reporting, and Analytics)
  • Credibility to work & engage with IT, Global, Regional and Functional Business teams
  • Problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork and partnerships
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Highly proficient personal computer skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints
  • Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Hyperion experience preferred
  • Cognos, Microsoft Power BI Desktop, and Tableau, a plus
