We are looking for exceptional full-stack software engineers with a passion for quality, efficiency, and reliability to help us accelerate and innovate in this exciting and critical space.  Our team believes in extreme ownership where we manage the infrastructure, code, automation, and operations for our applications.  As a staff engineer, you’ll be designing, building, and supporting the cloud applications and infrastructure to support the control and data planes for millions of vehicles on a global scale.  You will work with the embedded vehicle teams to build the services and client experiences necessary to manage all vehicle data collection.

What You’ll do:

  • Design and build secure, reliable, and efficient microservices to manage data collection on millions of vehicles
  • Create user experiences to enable teams to manage vehicle data collection efforts in the field
  • Leverage automation to deliver applications at a high level of quality
  • Deploy and operate applications globally in a manner which maximizes application availability
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support your team’s applications
  • Participate in mentorship programs to help grow the team from your experiences

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud application development
  • Experience building and operating enterprise cloud applications
  • Experience creating reliable Java microservices using Spring Boot
  • Experience building management web interfaces
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally, and navigate through ambiguity
  • Ability to think rigorously, evaluate tradeoffs, and make challenging decisions

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills)

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science/Engineering preferred

Compensation : The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

The salary range for this role is $210,000 to $273,800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
