Work Arrangement


This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to HQ Building in Shanghai, China five times per week.

The Role -

In this software development role, you will be responsible for developing software applications using sound, repeatable, industry standard methodologies. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on writing software or solutions, based on detailed requirements and system specifications. Development activities will include updating existing software and/or developing new software solutions to address a specific need or solve a particular business problem. Additionally, you will drive development activities in accordance with appropriate methodologies and application of a repeatable, systematic and quantifiable approach to the development process. You will coach/mentor software developers and will review the software being developed. This role will also work closely with architects and/or data scientists to ensure code alignment with design patterns/frameworks.

What You’ll Do -

As a Microsoft .Net Development Lead, you will be responsible for the development, performance, and scaling of our public website, app, as well as internal systems. You will work with the scrum team and will also be responsible for making technical decisions within a team:

  • You will be responsible for the whole SDLC, work with PM/QA team to ensure the sprint lifecycle is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • You will be involved in the development of new features, collaborating with other developers.
  • Ensure the utmost high quality of the GMPI app in production, by monitoring crashes, firefighting incidents, solving complex bugs, etc., and leading incident investigation if necessary.
  • Ensure that service-level-agreements for test coverage and quality are met by implementing tests and processes.
  • Perform profiling to find bottlenecks and optimize performance and ensure that performance metrics are set up and monitored for app health.
  • Solve issues prioritizing based on customer impact.
  • Collaborate with app developers, backend developers, product owners, and quality specialists, to constantly improve customer experience within the app platform.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) ​​  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience.
  • 5+ Years backend development experience with .NET framework and .NET Core.
  • Familiar with D365 Online version development
  • Familiar with the product features and functionalities of D365
  • Proficient in plugin development
  • Skilled in using custom H5 pages for development in D365.
  • Experienced in D365 deployment.
  • Knowledgeable about cloud-based products (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.)
  • Experience with microservices
  • Experience with middleware such as Redis, MQ (RabbitMQ, Service Bus), etc.
  • Experience with the restful style API
  • Proven experience as a Dev Lead on in an Agile development team and solid understanding of development methodologies (Reusable Code, Code Review, Unit Testing)
  • Knowledge of data design and optimization
  • Basic development tools (visual studio, visual studio code) and the ability to handle environmental issues.
  • Understanding of front-end implementations and web request knowledge
  • Good communication skills - being able to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated team-player.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)  

  • Familiarity with cloud deployment practices is preferred.
  • Experience with Service Bus and Event Hub is a plus.
  • Experience with azure cloud Artifactory, Black Duck, SonarQube, Kafka, Pulsar, Kubernetes
  • Front-end development experiences (Mini-Program, react, VUE, H5 etc.).
  • Network layer knowledge and DevOps knowledge.
  • Cloud experience is a strong plus.
