Join us as the GM Brand - Assistant Website Manager! Your role on the GM Brand marketing team will directly contribute to our objective of building perception of GM as the best automaker by showcasing our incredible innovations, technologies, and people. As the Assistant Website Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the overall management and maintenance of GM's website and search strategy. Working closely with the marketing team, you will assist in optimizing website functionality, enhancing user experience, curating content and implementing digital strategies to drive traffic and engagement.
This highly collaborative role will team up with colleagues across communications, public policy, investor relations, engineering, talent acquisition, and our various agencies to keep the brand’s digital web & content strategy on track and on-budget. Key tasks include complete ownership and management of GM.com and its organic and paid search tactics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Own the day-to-day management and maintenance of GM.com
- Develop and coordinate content management and production on GM.com; ensuring content is up-to-date, accurate and aligned with business objectives
- Analyze user behavior and website analytics to identify pain points and areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance the overall visitor journey, increase engagement, and drive conversions.
- Lead and closely collaborate with our agency partners and the GMUX team to ensure production timelines are met in an efficient/effective manner
- Ensure the GM brand is consistently and appropriately represented across all touch points
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to drive the execution of global GM website initiatives, providing regional teams with the necessary resources and guidance for effective local adaptations and enhancements.
- Monitor website performance, conduct regular audits and troubleshoot any issues related to site functionality
- Assist in SEO optimization, ensuring that all content adheres to SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and visibility
- Review and summarize results, including site performance and brand scorecard metrics. Always using the data to draw insights and tell a story
- Communicate timelines and workflows to all brand teams
- Work with central team to verify proper marketing tags are in place across all pages
- Support design and coordination of “Test and Learn” initiatives
- Maintain calendar of activations and touchpoints that teams across GM have with each core stakeholder audience
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to web management.

Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in website management, digital marketing, and/or project management
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website optimization techniques
- Proactive, self-starter, highly driven marketing professional that excels in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Adaptive to change and energized by strategic challenges
- Cross-functionally minded, with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of peers
- Strategic thinker with exemplary problem-solving skills
- Strong planning, project management and organizational skills
- Creative thinker who is comfortable managing through moments of uncertainty
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Marketing-related experience preferred
