If so, a role as a Sr. Analyst in the Envolve OnStar Strategic planning team may be a good fit for you.
The Strategic Planning and Integration team is charged with challenging the status quo and developing strategies that drive OnStar’ commercial growth and business strategies to be a leader in the commercial and government sector. We partner with cross functional teams across Envolve to develop a coherent software go to market strategy that drives value through the core business and propel GM into future market opportunities.
Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Planning & Initiatives, the Sr. Analyst will be responsible for supporting the strategic initiatives of the team and conducting in dept financial, market and industry analysis that allow our Business Unit to accelerate retention and growth. The ideal candidate will be an analytical, yet agile, thinker with strong communication skills and a proven track record of applying data-based decision making.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Support the activation, and execution of strategic projects and serve as resource and thought partner to key stakeholders.
- Create comprehensive business cases and the financial models to support them.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses that yield compelling business insights and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with various GM teams and leverage external resources as needed to obtain data and/or generate insights that provide a deeper understanding of the market and our customers to inform strategy development.
- Apply data and analytics methodologies to set direction and prove/disprove hypotheses in our strategies.
- Communicate complex business concepts through compelling storytelling in a structured and succinct manner that conveys an actionable point of view.
Skills:
- Ability to aggregate, synthesize and communicate business information in formats that are clear and effective for the desired audiences.
- Ability to create business cases and financial models to support them.
- Ability to translate “data” to a “business story” and effectively derive and communicate any actionable recommendations.
- Skilled in priority setting and alignment of project priorities with business strategy.
- Effectiveness in building trust, respect, and cooperation among cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Consistent demonstration and modeling of GM’s winning behaviors.
- Master in storytelling

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Data & Analytics, Marketing, or a related discipline
- 5+ years overall experience in financial modeling, business case development, storytelling.
- 3+ years’ experience analyzing market, customer, product or similar research/benchmarking data.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge ( Preferred Qualifications):
- MBA preferred
- Management consulting experience a plus
- Corporate strategy experience a plus
