Work Arrangement
Hybrid - The successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan a minimum of three times per week, or at another frequency dictated by the business.
The Role
The Autonomous Robotic Center (ARC) is seeking a Senior Manager for Autonomous Material Robotics Deployment. This individual will oversee the deployment of autonomous material handling robots within various manufacturing settings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and integrating robotics solutions with manufacturing processes, utilizing real-time and offline data from various sources to improve efficiency and productivity. You will collect information from both internal and external sources, characterize robotics systems, and interpret results for manufacturing applications. As a key team member, you will attend testing sessions domestically and internationally, collaborate with affiliated teams, and facilitate the transfer of knowledge from robotics to production. In this constantly evolving environment, the team works with innovative testing and analytical technologies to review material handling properties and virtually integrate robotics performance to enable manufacturing process simulations for original equipment applications.

What You Will Do
- Lead the deployment of autonomous material handling robots in various manufacturing settings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robotics solutions that meet manufacturing requirements.
- Develop and execute project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure seamless integration of robotics systems with existing manufacturing processes.
- Conduct testing and validation of robotic systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during deployment and post-deployment phases.
- Develop and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Train and mentor team members on robotics deployment best practices.
- Prioritize deployment opportunities that drive the highest efficiency gains for manufacturing processes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in autonomous robotics and material handling technologies.
- Domestic and international travel is required.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 10+ years of demonstrated leadership in building and managing high-performing deployment teams for autonomous robotics systems within complex manufacturing environments, driving successful project outcomes.
- Extensive expertise in robotics software and hardware, including advanced knowledge of sensors, actuators, and control systems, enabling the design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
- In-depth proficiency in robotics model fitting routines, leveraging diverse data sources to optimize system performance and enhance operational efficiency.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Advanced degree in the field of Robotics, Engineering, or related disciplines – Master’s or PhD.
- Experience implementing robotics models in real-time simulation environments to support Driver-in-the-Loop and offline simulation work.
