Remote - This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis. This position requires an employee to cover territory visits to dealerships in a reoccurring frequency. The selected candidate will assume territorial responsibility of the Pacific Northwest . Sacramento, CA would the preferred residential location for the candidate.

The Role:

The Senior Zone Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales, aftersales, and advertising activities in their assigned zone. You will build and lead a dynamic field team, provide leadership towards the achievement of profitability and growth. You maintain positive relationships with your dealerships and/or Independent Aftersales Market stores and establish strategies to expand the customer base for your zones. This position is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned region for Buick GMC. The work involves a great deal of influencing, creativity, negotiating and decision making. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum sales growth and profitability in addition to building strong dealer relationships.
  • Lead Multiple Local Marketing Associations
  • Manage region dealer inventory and develop effective consensus coverage plans to maximize overall dealer profitability for the Region
  • Scheme new vehicle regional incentives programs in support of sales growth targets.
  • Develop and execute regional retail Sales and marketing plans.
  • Work with ADI to facilitate dealer and LMA accessory integration.
  • Drive dealer CPO sales growth and support the dealer network strategy.
  • Assist in development and implementation of region customer retention / conquest strategy.
  • Integrate CSSR program within region to ensure success.
  • Manage overall region CSI and retention performance
  • Incorporate service retention in dealer business planning process
  • Champion overall regional training performance and Sales excellence
  • Spearhead the divisional customer experience process at regional level
  • Administer dealer contractual agreements and ensure proper dealer execution of programs
  • Oversee and maintain overall region net working capital requirements
  • Manage OnStar Auto renewals
  • Train, coach and develop talent
  • Drive communication and lead change management within the zone
  • Demonstrate exceptional resilience and determination in the face of challenges with relentless focus on driving meaningful and measurable impact
  • Effectively navigate conflict with professionalism, fostering constructive dialogue while building strong relationships and driving toward collaborative solutions

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred 
  • Must be willing to travel extensively (~ 80%)
  • 9+ years of automotive experience in dealership operations, including sales & service 
  • Broad knowledge of problem analysis methodologies & ability to develop resolutions 
  • Dealers contact experience 
  • Computer skills to develop, maintain & analyze data 
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience and proven track record of leading a team that works primarily with automotive dealers and the dealership enterprise 
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others both within & outside the organization 
  • Excellent organizing & planning skills to coordinate and delegate multiple simultaneous tasks 
  • Ability to work independently & deal with conflicting priorities while providing direction to your direct team
  • Self-directs and makes sound decisions independently, even in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively 
  • Highly developed oral & written communication skills 
  • Lives values that create a safe, healthy and inclusive culture. Makes decisions, acts and protects others so everyone returns home safely.

This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis. A company vehicle will be provided for this role with the successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review. 

 The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington. 

The salary range for this role is ($204,000 – 312,500). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position. 

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
