  • Manage and support litigation, major transactions, joint ventures, and restructuring initiatives

  • Lead cross-border legal matters with a focus on Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia

  • Report to the Lead Counsel for GM International, and partner with regional and global colleagues and stakeholders

About You

You are a proactive, enthusiastic, curious and commercially minded legal professional who embodies our GM Behaviours in winning with integrity, commit to customers, innovate and embrace change, own the outcome, move with urgency, and speak fearlessly.

You will have:

  • A Bachelor of Laws and current legal practising certificate

  • 6-8+ years PQE in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house with a multinational company

  • Strong experience across corporate/commercial law and risk management

  • Sound knowledge of Australian and New Zealand legal systems; experience across Asia is a plus

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels
