On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Toledo, Ohio plant on a full-time basis. Must be willing to work weekends.
This position may offer relocation assistance.
The Role:
As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for support in one of the key areas: manufacturing/warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management.
You will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.
What You'll Do:
Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Guides of one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.
Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
- Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
- Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions
- Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
- Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation
- Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution
- Will work together as a team to ensure all supplier parts are on-site to manufacture our daily production requirements
- Will lead and assist our Material Flow team in insuring materials arrive on time and we experience no production interruptions
- Reconcile Inventory discrepancies
- Work cross functionally with production and quality groups to achieve daily build schedules
- Lead cycle counting process
- Manage material buildout and obsolescence avoidance
- Support Level II BPD execution
- Support Command Center troubled supplier calls
- Lead and support Ryder team
- Support Launch related activities
- Support transportation related activities
- Develop and maintain Min/Max on all parts
- Support packaging initiatives
Qualifications:
- Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution
- Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out
- Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies
- Deep understanding and minimum of 2 years in Supply Chain functions. Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and with a team to develop solutions to complex problems
- Computer skills required - Microsoft Excel and Teams mandatory; MIcrosoft Access a plus
- MGO knowledge and experience required; MGO-C a plus
- Material flow knowledge required - from Supplier through customer
- Ability to work weekends as required to support manufacturing operations
- Ability to work more than 8 hours if it is required to support manufacturing operations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow up and pay close attention to details
- Ability to put irreversible corrective actions in place as problems are identified
- Ability to present solutions to all problems presented
