The PFEP (plan for every part) Analyst maintains and improves the systems, data, reporting, and standard work that support material control and inventory performance at Oshawa Assembly. The role helps optimize inventory levels, maintain PFEP and VBIMS data, support launches and build-outs, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to protect material flow. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Maintain PFEP, VBIMS, inventory-bank, min/max, and related material-control parameters. 

  • Identify and track inventory reduction opportunities, including overmax, undersupply, past-due, overbought, and miscellaneous-buy conditions. 

  • Lead investigation into recurring inventory min and max violations reported by the plant floor 

  • Prepare and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, uploads, logs, audit materials, and data-quality records. 

  • Support launch, build-out, new-part, part-ending, schedule-pack, and engineering/process-change activities.

  • Investigate inventory and data issues in, perform root-cause analysis, and implement or escalate countermeasures. 

  • Respond to ad hoc requests for bank, parameter, VBIMS, reporting, and material-control information. 

  • Participate in Material Control, GSC, logistics, production, engineering, launch, safety, and continuous-improvement meetings and site activities. 

  • Coordinate with partners such as GBS, TFT, Ryder, and other stakeholders to communicate changes and resolve issues. 

Required qualifications/experience 

  • Sucessful completion of a Post Seconday Education Program.

  • Experience in material control, inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. 

  • Experience analyzing operational data, maintaining reports, and identifying root causes or improvement opportunities. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data-based reporting; experience with Power BI, macros, or similar tools is an asset. 

  • Familiarity with MGO, VBIMS, min/max controls, inventory banks, schedule packs, or comparable material-management systems is preferred.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $76,100.00 to $114,300.00. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
