描述
The Team:
The Low Voltage Infrastructure Team within the Embedded Platform Systems & Infrastructure organization is focused on the development of systems and controls centered around on-vehicle low voltage power generation, energy storage, power management, distribution, and consumption control. There is no better time to join this newly formed team as we evolve to the next generation of low voltage power architectures and consumption control strategies in SDV2.0!
The Role:
As a Senior Systems Test Engineer for Low Voltage System Integration, you will be planning, developing, executing, and analyzing system level tests that ensure our designs satisfy our customer’s expectations on system performance, reliability, and quality. Specific tasks include leading development of test plans, choosing evaluation methods, executing tests, collaborating with virtual tool owners, analyzing results, leading root cause activities, and collaborating on solution development. This role will operate like a CIE (Component Integration Engineer) for the Low Voltage System.
Our upcoming work brings new, difficult challenges when it comes to effectively testing systems requirements use cases and complex functions within new low voltage architectures. This is an assignment where creativity, initiative, analytical skills, a deep understanding of our customers’ experience, and cross-functional team work is crucial and celebrated!
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute test scripts using Python that align to system level functional and performance requirements, and end-to-end testing of low voltage related features.
- Support development of customer use cases with systems engineers.
- Plan and negotiate allocation of resources necessary to support testing in virtual and HiL bench environments.
- Track feature development and align testing activities with TFRP timing; support CoSim demos.
- Support issue triage and new feature integration testing with software and systems engineers.
- Summarize and communicate test status, support data driven design direction.
- Ensure correlation of physical testing to virtual testing to fulfill goal of virtual modeling capability and accuracy.
- Support setup and debugging test properties to assure test readiness.
- Develop and implement standard work processes and procedures.
- Participate in DFMEA development and reviews.
- Improve existing or invent new evaluation methods as needed.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

- Ability to run integration testing on a systems bench and test vehicles.
- General understanding of vehicle electrical architectures and communication protocols.
- Solid understanding of the major vehicle systems
- Deep knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and a proven track record of successful implementation.
People Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including independent judgement and decision-making skills, where problems are very unusual and extremely difficult.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability of leading cross-functional teams, influencing without direct authority, and building relationships in difficult circumstances.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- Design or test experience with automotive low voltage electric power related components, controls, subsystems, and/or architectures.
- Design or test experience with software, controller, or communication activation strategies.
- Proficiency in Agile processes and built-in quality concepts such as Behavioral Driven Development.
- Extensive test automation experience.
