描述
At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features.
Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale.
The Role
The Lab System Integration Engineering (LSIE) team is a part of a Central Engineering Resource Team supporting various battery, component, and propulsion test laboratories as well as vehicle garages in Pontiac, Warren and Milford, Michigan. This Battery Lab Systems Integration Engineering position will directly support the Global Battery Systems Lab (GBSL) and Wallace Battery Cell Innovation Center (WBCIC) at the Warren Technical Center Campus with the development and validation of current and future battery technologies within General Motors’ electrification portfolio along with enhancements to the lab infrastructure. This role will be primarily responsible for developing and validating test scripts and associated equipment drivers while meeting strict timing requirements. These scripts will replicate anything from a DC fast charge in the desert to driving across the Canadian tundra in the winter. We also integrate new test hardware into the test labs including some of the largest battery cyclers and shakers in North America. The tests run by the lab directly affect the quality, durability, and performance of electrified vehicles and related products developed by General Motors.
This role is a good fit for a qualified individual who is interested in state-of-the-art battery technologies and testing methods, system-level integration, and has a background in computer programming, data science, and test execution. This role offers practical, hands-on product and lab development experience in the growing field of vehicle electrification.
This position is based on site at the GM Global Technical Center and requires regular in-person presence
