The Role

The North America Market Analysis Team (NAMA) is at the pulse of Sales, Service and Marketing (SSM). As the Buick GMC Channel Insights Analyst, you will work collaboratively with the brand's marketing and cross-functional partners across NAMA, Sales Operations, Finance, Communications, and agency teams to deliver insights that inform business decisions.

In this role, you will be expected to become a subject matter expert on key analytical tools, data sources, automotive industry dynamics, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities. You will provide unbiased consumer and market insights by aggregating multiple data sources, synthesizing findings into clear stories, and translating analysis into actionable recommendations for SSM and leadership.

The strongest candidate will be someone who can combine rigorous analytics with concise storytelling, operate effectively in a fast paced cross-functional environment, and help the brand modernize its insights capabilities through stronger business intelligence, sharper executive communication, and practical AI adoption.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide internal clients with data, strategic insights, and business intelligence to support informed decision making across the brand's marketing teams.

  • Conduct competitive analyses and assess the implications of competitive vehicle launches, market dynamics, and segment trends on the brand's performance.

  • Track monthly performance of key brand vehicles versus competitors, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver timely, accurate, and insightful monthly analyses to support go-to-market priorities.

  • Leverage AI tools such as CoPilot and Glean to streamline monthly reporting, executive summaries, ad hoc requests, and ongoing business intelligence gathering.

  • Develop actionable insights decks and strategic assessments on key emerging business topics.

  • Support senior leadership with talking points, leadership presentations, and special strategic analyses as needed.

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and integrate the brand's insights into broader NAMA and partner-team workflows and learnings.

Your Skills & Abilities  (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of automotive forecasting, market analysis, marketing analytics, or related experience.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, select the right data and tools, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools and an interest in applying them to insight development and reporting workflows preferred.

What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage  (Preferred Qualifications)

  • A plus: Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

  • Client-service orientation and strong partnership mindset.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning new tools and methods.

  • Strong commitment to quality and accuracy in analysis and reporting.

  • Ability to translate complex analyses into concise leadership communications.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and highly developed presentation skills.

  • Thorough understanding of major automotive and market data sources such as GM EZ Query, JD Power PIN, S&P Mobility (POLK), MTAB, and related business intelligence resources.
