GSC Launch Coordinator 

Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to our Detroit/Hamtramck plant location

The Role:

Lead a team and provide employee development, training, and drive the performance management process as well as manage an efficient organizational structure.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Launch coordinator manages a key area within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives, as it pertains to Production and Launch of new vehicles and/or model changes.
     
  • Launch coordinator communicates to all levels of the organization, as well as other collaborations, cross functionally with Program team, Engineering and suppliers. Launch coordinator is responsible for supporting the relationship with our VAA and JIT 3rd Parties.
     
  • Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production and reducing premium transportation during Launch/Model change events.
     
  • Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production. Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions. Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to plant leadership.
     
  • Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.

    Travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.
    Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) ​​

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of supply chain experience (Floor operations a plus)
  • Knowledge of supply chain systems MGO, WMS, and PPD
  • Promote a safe working environment
  • Execute workplace organization within work group

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): ​

  • Strong knowledge of GMS standards and process
  • Material operation readiness
  • Clear understanding of Kitting/Sequencing operations and set-up
