The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis.

The Role:

Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV is looking for innovators who thrive in tough challenges and are passionate about tackling meaningful work that will shape the future of the automotive industry. This isn’t a role for those looking for an easy path—it’s for those who embrace change, push through obstacles, and take ownership of complex problems. While there will be long days and moments that test your resilience, you’ll find purpose in your work, flexibility to prioritize your family, and the support of a people-first culture. If you’re ready to grow, thrive, and make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

WHY :  The purpose of this role is supporting this diverse technical organization through financial planning, forecasting, and budget management to contribute to our culture and strategy as we move into an exciting future.

WHAT :  As a Forecasting and Financial Planner, you will serve as the strategic partner for leadership to ensure clarity, alignment, and effective execution across the organization.

HOW :  Supporting the leaders and the broader organization to make it happen for our plants and customers.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Own department financial planning for Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV, including annual budget cycles, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and year-end outlooks.
  • Lead forecasting, purchase requests, and tracking for operations and capital, non-program, and program funding, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and corporate targets.
  • Translate financials into clear, accessible stories and visuals that help the team understand where we are, where we’re going, and why.
  • Quantify and communicate impact of initiatives—cost savings, efficiency gains, and quality improvements—linking them back to team goals, KPIs, and values.
  • Execute and improve internal business processes for the organization including a variety of special assignments.
  • Foster a forward-thinking, people-first work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including manufacturing, program management, finance, and purchasing to synergize efforts towards future innovations.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, or business operations.
  • 5+ years of professional experience ideally in manufacturing, engineering, or technology environments.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills, with experience managing multiple funding streams (operations, capital, project funding).
  • Ability to lead through influence by building trust, fostering collaboration across functions, and guiding stakeholders toward shared objectives without direct authority.
  • Proven ability to articulate visionary concepts effectively and communicate professionally and concisely to all levels of leadership.
  • Start-up mentality - be tenacious, adaptable, and curious. Lead projects through the entire creative lifecycle, from ideation to implementation.
  • This role requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing, technical, and business processes.
  • Familiarity with GM planning and financial systems (or equivalent large-scale enterprise tools such as SAP).
  • Experience identifying and implementing opportunities to automate business processes and leverage AI-enabled tools to improve forecasting, reporting, decision-making, and overall organizational efficiency.
