At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard – from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features.
Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale.
The Role
As a Staff Program Manager, you will lead the operational planning and execution of large-scale, cross-functional software and systems initiatives that bring to life a new vehicle interface system purpose built by GM for our customers. You will play a critical role in end-to-end CCU (Central Compute Unit) integration, with a strong emphasis on software bring-up on in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) hardware.
This role sits at the intersection of hardware design, embedded software, and vehicle execution, partnering closely with internal engineering teams responsible for building GM’s next-generation infotainment and connectivity platforms. You will help ensure that software stacks are successfully integrated, flashed, and stabilized on production hardware, enabling seamless delivery to vehicle programs.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
-
Lead end-to-end execution of complex infotainment and connectivity programs, with ownership of CCU system integration across hardware and software
-
Drive software bring-up activities, ensuring successful deployment, flashing, and validation of software stacks on IVI boards and production-intent hardware
-
Partner deeply with in-house hardware and software design teams to align development timelines, integration readiness, and system dependencies
-
Coordinate across HW and SW engineering to define and execute the overall integration and bring-up strategy
-
Develop and manage integrated program plans that align software releases with vehicle milestones and launch readiness
-
Coordinate the VCU/Infotainment SW development plan across all vehicles for VCU releases
-
Work with Vehicle PMO to map software delivery and readiness to vehicle program timing
-
Proactively identify integration risks (hardware/software mismatches, build issues, feature dependencies) and drive mitigation plans
-
Facilitate critical issue resolution during bring-up, triage, and system validation phases
-
Manage the complexities across features, vehicle programs, and platform dependencies
-
Drive alignment across engineering, product management, and supply chain to support successful vehicle launches
-
Provide clear, data-driven updates to leadership on program health, risks, and integration readiness
-
Some domestic travel (< 5%)
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

-
Strong understanding of system integration and software bring-up processes on physical hardware
-
Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional programs spanning product, engineering, and operations
