Position Summary

Lead the Transformation Team for Legal. Own the redesign of legal workflows using modern collaboration tools, AI, and automation built on approved platform capabilities. Serve as the product manager for the transformation by defining the problem, prioritizing the work, driving delivery, and ensuring adoption, controls, and handoff.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end team delivery, including workflow redesign and transformation execution for Legal

  • Partner with the Legal business sponsor to translate goals into a prioritized roadmap

  • Lead the team across engineering, legal operations stakeholders, and matrixed platform and change resources

  • Run discovery activities including workflow mapping, intake analysis, document lifecycle review, use case identification, and pilot planning

  • Enforce architectural compliance and ensure reuse of approved platform capabilities

  • Escalate missing platform capabilities or required controls rather than allowing shadow architecture

  • Drive adoption and behavior change in partnership with embedded change leads

  • Ensure every AI-enabled workflow, prompt-based solution, or automated agent receives required review and approval before deployment

  • Define and track success metrics tied to cycle time, manual effort reduction, and user adoption

  • Manage to clear, time-bound exit criteria

  • Deliver a validated sustainment plan, complete documentation, and signed handoff to the Legal sustainment owner

Decision Rights

Owns:

  • Team backlog and prioritization, jointly with the Legal business sponsor

  • Delivery approach

  • Day-to-day team execution

Does not own:

  • Platform standards

  • Security, privacy, legal, or governance approval

  • Final Legal priorities, which remain with the business function

Distinction from the Business Sponsor

The Team Lead is the delivery owner and is accountable for how the work gets done and how execution moves forward. The Legal business sponsor owns outcomes, priorities, and functional adoption and is accountable for what is being solved and why it matters. These roles work in close partnership, but they are not interchangeable.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 8 to 10+ years in product management or transformation delivery, ideally in enterprise collaboration, SaaS, automation, or AI

  • Proven experience delivering cross-functional product or workflow initiatives through adoption

  • Strong stakeholder management, including senior business leaders

  • Familiarity with modern productivity suites, AI-enabled workflows, automation, and change management

  • Experience working with legal operations, document-intensive workflows, or sensitive information environments preferred

  • Comfort operating in regulated, policy-driven, or high-sensitivity environments

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience defining and tracking value realization metrics, including adoption, productivity, control/compliance, and sustainment outcomes, for enterprise workflow transformation initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business needs into scalable, platform-aligned solutions that maximize reuse and avoid one-off tooling or shadow processes.

  • Experience establishing durable sustainment models, including operating procedures, documentation, ownership transitions, and post-launch governance for artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and collaboration solutions.

  • Experience transforming legal intake, contract, matter, knowledge, or document lifecycle workflows.

  • Experience working with privileged, confidential, or policy-sensitive content and partnering with governance stakeholders on compliant AI use.

Compensation:  The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

  • The salary range for this role is $134,700 to $245,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance
