Position Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Support GM Australia & New Zealand Portfolio Planning Director and Planning Manager to manage the Planning & Program Management activities required to grow the business
  • Undertake special projects under the direction of the GM Australia & New Zealand Dealer Development Manage

GM Australia & New Zealand Portfolio Planning:

  • Support Business Planning (BP) process with portfolio data as required, incl. competitive product plans & support GM BP review process
  • Support development of future model volume estimate studie including generating reports from the FCAI volume reporting system (“Power BI)
  • Develop & maintain vehicle content documents – S&O/PPC & Model line up summaries
  • Develop & maintain pricing Feature Adjust/Comparably equipped summaries
  • Research and maintain competitive (benchmark) product information.
  • Support development of accessory portfolio, including maintaining part number and pricing for the Accessory Price Guide
  • Complete detailed reviews of vehicle specification document, eg PDS, brochures, merchandising material, Corporate Affairs material, sales training material, Dealer Bulletins etc
  • Manage & maintain key business records – meeting minute, presentations etc
  • Order of pre-production vehicles & manage the vehicle ownership
  • Support cost reduction & efficiency initiative for conversion business with Premoso
  • Assist with the development of recovery action plans to address any threats to a particular program
  • Assist in the preparation of program status reports (1 pagers) for issue to the GMSV SLT as required
  • Support Product Planning team with confidential, “urgent” requests as required

GM Australia & New Zealand Dealer Development:

  • Support Dealer Development Manager with special assignments
  • Update and Issue the GMSV Dealer Master List, HSO Dealer Master List and the ‘live’ GMSV and HSO contact lists, on a weekly basis
  • Create and issue the GMSV and HSO dealer list to Results Directly on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with Dealer Entity Changes as required, including but not limited to:  generating ASIC reports; updating Global Connect; filing (physical and electronically) of agreements
  • Shared monitoring of the GMANZ.dealer network email inbox
  • Support the Dealer Network Team with agreement renewals and utilising DocuSign for execution.

General:

  • Be prepared to take on a wide variety of analysis and tasks, often with short notice and deadlines.
  • Promote efficient, effective teamwork for optimum performance

Knowledge: 

  • Strong interest in cars and the motor industry
  • Understanding of GMSV vehicle portfolio
  • An interest in worldwide vehicle and social trends
  • An interest in customer product needs and customers motivations and perceptions

Skills:

  • Ability to logically analyze situations and trends and present recommendations, both orally and written.
  • Self-motivated with strong action focus
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information
  • High level attention to detail and to deadlines
  • Capable with the MS Office Suite of hardware.
  • Capable of working well with other people, assertive when appropriate

Experience/Education:

  • Currently completing a Marketing / Commerce / Engineering degree
  • Some experience in business strategy, organizational change and process revisions
  • Australian Drivers License
