Job Description
Manager, Endpoint Experience, Analytics & Automation
The Role
The Manager, Endpoint Experience, Analytics & Automation leads the team responsible for how endpoint capabilities are delivered at scale and how employees experience them day to day across macOS, Windows, Linux, and VDI. This role owns endpoint experience strategy and KPIs, along with the tooling, telemetry, automation, self-service, and management platforms that implement enterprise endpoint policies and turn them into reliable, measurable, and low-friction outcomes for employees.
You will own the mechanisms that deliver and operate the endpoint experience end to end: endpoint management platforms, reporting, automation, self-service capabilities, and user-focused health and performance insights. Your team is responsible for the operational reliability and continuous improvement of platforms such as SCCM/ConfigMgr, Jamf, ASIS, BeyondTrust, and related services, ensuring they can deploy and enforce Core OS standards and other endpoint capabilities effectively at scale.
This team is accountable for measuring and improving what employees actually feel: device reliability, performance, satisfaction, and time to productivity. They own the telemetry, dashboards, workflows, and automation that monitor adherence, surface issues, reduce friction, and make the client experience more resilient and “it just works” in practice.
What You’ll Do
-
Own the Endpoint Experience, Analytics & Automation strategy, roadmap, and execution in support of the broader End User Engineering direction.
-
Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for endpoint experience, automation, telemetry, reporting, and platform operations .
-
Define and improve secure, scalable, and user-friendly endpoint experience baselines across devices, apps, configurations, and employee workflows.
-
Use telemetry, analytics, and user feedback to prioritize work, measure outcomes, and improve reliability, performance, satisfaction, and time-to-productivity.
-
Drive adoption of modern, cloud-first management , automation-first operations , and zero trust endpoint controls.
-
Oversee the tools, reporting, and automation that support endpoint health, compliance, software deployment, remediation, self-service, and configuration management .
-
Operate and continuously improve endpoint management platforms and services that deliver Core OS standards at scale across macOS, Windows, Linux, and VDI .
-
Partner closely with Security, Infrastructure, Support, Product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear engineering plans, platform capabilities, and experience improvements.
-
Ensure endpoint platforms, automations, and configurations meet security, compliance, audit, and risk management requirements, supported by strong documentation and operational runbooks.
-
Serve as the primary owner for endpoint experience, analytics, and automation concerns across internal stakeholders and vendors, clearly communicating priorities, changes, impacts, and timelines.
Your Skills & Experience
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
-
6+ years in endpoint/client engineering, end-user computing, Core OS/endpoint platform engineering, or related infrastructure roles.
-
2+ years leading engineers or acting as a technical lead with ownership of an endpoint platform, baseline, or service.
-
Hands-on experience managing macOS, Windows, Linux, and/or VDI in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
-
Strong experience with endpoint management platforms and tools (e.g., SCCM/ConfigMgr, Jamf, Intune/Endpoint Manager, ASIS, BeyondTrust, or similar) focused on policies, compliance, automation, and user experience.
-
Demonstrated ability to engineer and operate at scale (thousands of devices, multiple OSes, multiple regions).
-
Excellent communication skills and comfort working with security, infrastructure, and business partners .
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience running global or multi-region endpoint platforms and baselines across macOS, Windows, Linux, and/or VDI.
-
Track record implementing zero trust / device posture / direct-to-app access in conjunction with endpoint policies and tooling.
-
Experience with VDI/DaaS platforms (Citrix, VMware Horizon, AVD, etc.) including image design, lifecycle management, and performance tuning.
-
Familiarity with configuration-as-code / infrastructure-as-code workflows (Git, CI/CD for configuration).
-
Experience managing budgets, licensing, and vendor relationships for endpoint and user experience management tools.
What Success Looks Like
-
New hires receive devices with consistent, secure, and performant configurations and can start work with minimal manual setup.
-
High patch, compliance, and health rates across macOS, Windows, Linux, and VDI with minimal disruption to end users.
-
Measurable reductions in endpoint-related incidents and escalations , with more remediation handled through self-service and automation rather than manual intervention.
-
Clear, actionable endpoint experience and reliability metrics that guide ongoing improvement.
-
Strong, ongoing partnership with Security and Infrastructure on zero trust and modern management initiatives.
-
A high-performing, engaged Endpoint Experience, Analytics & Automation team that ships improvements regularly and reliably.
-
A measurable improvement in an “It Just Works” endpoint experience : devices stay fast and stable, updates are predictable, and users rarely think about the underlying tooling because it simply works.
