Description
Why join us?
General Motors pioneers the innovations that move and connect people to what matters. We see a world with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion. As we move toward this vision, software plays an integral role as it becomes more prominent in our vehicles.
Our ambition in Software & Services Product Management is to build a world-class software development culture that is part of the company’s shared vision. We are creating an elite portfolio of software-defined vehicles by tightly integrating software, hardware, and services to create complete and compelling vehicle experiences for our customers.
The Role
As a Senior Product Manager, Driver Information & Safety Experiences , you will lead the team of Product Mangers shaping what drivers see and interact with every time they get behind the wheel.
You will:
-
Define the future of instrument clusters and reconfigurable displays – how information is prioritized, visualized, and personalized. Supporting everything from every day driving to on-track hero moments.
-
Shape Head‑Up Display (HUD) experiences that keep eyes on the road while giving drivers the confidence and context they need. Closely collaborating with R&D to shape future technologies to provide truly immersive experiences.
-
Reinvent how customers understand vehicle health, maintenance, and diagnostics, turning confusing warnings into clear, actionable guidance.
-
Orchestrate cross‑vehicle safety and warning experiences so that critical moments are handled consistently, calmly, and effectively. Integrating the latest technology to create experiences that inform and protect our customers.
This is a highly visible role at the intersection of safety, design, hardware, and software. You’ll connect deep technical teams with customer insights, and you’ll decide which ideas become the next generation of GM’s driver information experience. If you love turning complex systems into simple, intuitive moments that drivers trust every day, this role gives you the scope and influence to do exactly that.
Success in this role requires operating in a fast‑paced, highly cross‑functional environment, making principled tradeoffs, and influencing teams across Software, Hardware, Safety, CX, Data, and Program Management.
What You’ll Do
-
Lead the following product manager disciplines: Cluster, HUD, Vehicle Health / Maintenance / Prognostics, & Safety. You will make your products integrate and interact seamlessly with each other and our customers.

-
Obtain cross functional stakeholder alignment encompassing Engineering, Program Managers, Vehicle Teams, Design, Safety and Legal
-
Actively monitor emerging trends, incorporate data, research, and market
analysis to inform, define, prioritize, and drive execution of product roadmap
that spans privacy initiatives, data collection, consent experiences, and

Drive a data-driven culture and establish and monitor key metrics to
measure the health and usefulness of our solutions.

-
Experience developing solutions to hard problems with many constraints,
using sound judgement to assess risks, and laying out your argument in a
well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
-
Demonstrated expertise in writing, with the ability to effectively balance and
integrate pressures from across the company. Clear communication perspectives to ensure clear, compliant, and engaging content for privacy-related matters.
