Every day, our products move millions of people as we work to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected—shaping the future of transportation on a global scale.

About the Role

As a Quality Systems Manufacturing Engineering Execution Engineer, you will lead the deployment of advanced automated quality measurement systems across Body and General Assembly operations—from procurement and design through integration, installation, and commissioning.

You will serve as a technical and project execution leader, partnering with engineering teams, manufacturing plants, strategic suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative quality technologies that improve product quality, manufacturing performance, and operational excellence. You will also help advance the standardization, validation, and global deployment of next-generation quality systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, manage, and execute project schedules for assigned quality systems projects and programs, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved on time.

  • Create Statements of Requirements (SORs) and manage procurement activities through ARIBA, including the creation and processing of shopping carts.

  • Lead technical, design, and project reviews with strategic suppliers, cross-functional stakeholders, plant operations teams, and Quality Systems personnel.

  • Direct the design, development, build, and integration of quality systems at strategic supplier locations.

  • Serve as the onsite project lead during assembly center implementation, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.

  • Maintain alignment with program launch timing, operational readiness objectives, and system requirements.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and coordinate resolution efforts to support successful deployment and sustained system performance.

  • Build collaborative relationships with suppliers, manufacturing operations, engineering, and cross-functional teams.

  • Identify and champion opportunities to improve quality system performance, implementation processes, and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • Three to five years of experience in Body Manufacturing, General Assembly Manufacturing, or related automotive manufacturing operations.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and executing projects with strategic suppliers.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder-management, and project-leadership skills.

  • Experience leading, motivating, and facilitating cross-functional teams and supplier partnerships.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage competing demands in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results through collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.

  • Self-motivated, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced metrology systems, including optical and laser-based measurement technologies.

  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), engineering drawings, dimensional requirements, and tolerance specifications.

  • Proficiency with Teamcenter, NX, and PolyWorks.

  • Hands-on experience deploying and integrating machine vision systems in automated manufacturing environments, including moving-conveyor applications.

  • Foundational knowledge of industrial networking, system communications, network architecture, connectivity, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience supporting system implementation, validation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
