Job Summary**
Responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production within General Motors de Mexico operations. This role focuses on continuous improvement and problem-solving in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment for vehicle assembly or stamping operations.
* Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, cost, and safety using new technologies and AI.
* Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing operations, automation, quality, and production teams to ensure smooth automation project launches.
* Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing.
* Evaluate and select appropriate manufacturing technologies and equipment to meet production requirements.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing processes and report on performance.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.
* Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
Job Qualifications**
* Student from Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronic related field.
* Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and manufacturing simulation tools is a plus, AI tools (visual studio, phyton, power apps preferred)
* Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
* Willingness to learn and work in a plant environment and adapt to changing priorities.
