설명

Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV is looking for innovators who thrive in tough challenges and are passionate about tackling meaningful work that will shape the future of the automotive industry. This role is responsible for defining the future of end-of-line manufacturing systems that verify, calibrate, and validate increasingly complex vehicle technologies before they reach our customers.

As a technical leader, you will influence global manufacturing strategy, drive standardization across plants, and develop innovative solutions supporting advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), active safety features, vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, and future autonomous vehicle technologies.

If you're passionate about solving complex technical challenges, influencing enterprise-wide standards, and shaping the next generation of manufacturing systems, we'd love to hear from you.

This Role Is Ideal For

Engineering leaders and technical experts with deep experience in vehicle calibration, ADAS manufacturing systems, alignment technologies, or end-of-line validation who want to shape enterprise standards, influence future vehicle launches, and drive global manufacturing innovation.

WHY

Ensure GM's global manufacturing operations are equipped to build, calibrate, and validate increasingly complex vehicles by developing industry-leading end-of-line systems, manufacturing standards, and automation strategies. This role helps improve Electrical First Time Quality (EFTQ), reduce warranty exposure, enhance production efficiency, and ensure every vehicle meets quality expectations before reaching the customer.

WHAT

As the End-of-Line Systems Technical Expert, you will serve as the global subject matter expert for manufacturing systems supporting vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, active safety calibration, and autonomous vehicle calibration. You will define technical standards, shape future manufacturing strategies, influence vehicle and equipment design decisions, and provide expert guidance to global plants and engineering teams.

HOW

Partner with manufacturing, product engineering, program teams, suppliers, and plant operations to develop standardized end-of-line systems that are scalable, automation-ready, and globally deployable. Drive innovation, solve complex technical problems, and establish future-ready manufacturing solutions that support emerging vehicle technologies and evolving customer expectations.

Work Arrangement – Onsite

The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. This role requires up to 50% domestic and international travel.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Lead global teams in developing, standardizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes, equipment standards, and technical documentation supporting vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, active safety calibration, and autonomous vehicle calibration systems.
  • Drive enterprise-wide standardization of end-of-line calibration systems and manufacturing processes across global plants.
  • Guide cross-functional problem solving across manufacturing equipment, plant systems, product engineering, software, and validation teams to improve Electrical First Time Quality and production performance.
  • Partner early with product development, program, and plant teams to identify manufacturing impacts of new vehicle features and ensure manufacturing-ready solutions.
  • Develop innovative manufacturing processes, equipment concepts, and factory-of-the-future strategies supporting advanced vehicle calibration and validation systems.
  • Provide expert support for critical plant issues beyond local capabilities and guide suppliers, engineering teams, and execution teams through complex technical challenges.
  • Develop systems and data-driven tools that improve communication, integration, and problem-solving across manufacturing equipment, vehicle systems, and plant-floor technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership for manufacturing studies, future product strategies, and enterprise manufacturing requirements.
  • Identify future manufacturing requirements and influence product designs to improve automation, calibration performance, manufacturability, and production efficiency.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, tooling, vehicle calibration systems, or related technical disciplines.
  • Extensive experience supporting vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, active safety calibration, ADAS calibration, or related end-of-line manufacturing systems.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes, equipment standards, validation strategies, and technical requirements for production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product development, manufacturing engineering, and plant teams to deliver manufacturable, scalable solutions.
  • Experience leading global technical initiatives and driving standardization across multiple plants, organizations, or regions.
  • Proven ability to make technical decisions and provide direction in complex, ambiguous, and evolving environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally as required.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Familiarity with FMVSS 108 regulations and industry standards governing vehicle lighting, aiming, and calibration systems.
  • Experience with vehicle alignment and calibration equipment, including Burke Porter, Fori, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing execution systems, tooling systems, controls, plant IT systems, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Cross-functionally recognized expertise in vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, active safety calibration, ADAS calibration, or autonomous vehicle manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of product requirements related to night vision, radar calibration, forward collision mitigation, autonomous driving technologies, or related vehicle systems.
  • Experience supporting advanced manufacturing automation, factory-of-the-future initiatives, or smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience influencing enterprise standards, global manufacturing strategies, or future technology roadmaps.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
